Technically speaking, the Lodge at Eagle Crest isn’t one of the pet friendly hotels in Bend, Oregon, because it is actually located in Redmond. But because it is only a short drive to many of the Bend attractions, we’ll let the location slide and include it in our list.
The Lodge at Eagle Crest overlooks the Resort Golf Course, giving you fantastic views as well as something to do during the day. There are also plenty of grassy areas and hiking trails nearby to give you and your pets plenty of exercise.

Brasada Ranch

The main Ranch House of the Brasada Ranch has guest rooms and suites available, but none of these areas are pet friendly. Located on the picturesque Powell Butte just outside of Bend, this resort offers a wide variety of options to keep you busy. There is an 18-hole golf course, complete with clubhouse, pro shop, and caddie service.

Though located about 15 miles from the city, Sunriver Resort is still considered one of the top pet friendly hotels in Bend, Oregon. As well as being near to all the city has to offer, including shops, restaurants, and only 18 miles from Mt. Bachelor ski resort, this hotel has enough to do on its own to ensure an enjoyable stay.
There are three championship golf courses located on the resort, The Meadows, Crosswater, and Woodlands. Each has its own special features and layout for you to try out.
There are also indoor and outdoor tennis courts, indoor and outdoor pools, a children’s pool, fitness facilities, a full-service spa, a library, and even a grocery and convenience store for you to stock up on supplies while you’re here. You can rent bicycles or do some fishing as well.
There are four restaurants on the property, plus room service is available during limited hours. A bar/lounge and a poolside bar give the grownups some refreshments while the kids play.

Dog Parks in Bend, Oregon

- Overturf Park – There is an off-leash area for dogs to run around in near the Skyliner Summit Loop, with shaded areas, trails, and waste disposal stations.
- Ruffwear Dog Park – The Mt. Bachelor Resort has its own dog park on the west end of the West Village parking area. There is a snow-play area, which is groomed for the dogs to enjoy. Waste bags are provided.
- Wanoga Sno-Park – There are numerous trails to enjoy off leash, though they must be leashed in the sno-parks and on the sledding hills.
- Pine Nursery Park – The off-leash area is fenced off, with many paved and unpaved trails to explore and a large grassy area for running loose. Free poop bags are provided, and there are water fountains for humans and pets, plus a restroom for owners.
- Big Sky Park – There are two separate fenced off areas for off-leash play here. They feature many walking trails, plus have picnic tables for owners to have lunch while their dogs play. There is also a water spigot and a portable toilet. An unfenced area is also available for leashed dogs to play.
- Awbrey Butte Reservoir – The park is partially fenced off, with five acres of trails for your dog to enjoy off leash.
- Hollinshead Park – There are three acres of land, covered with rolling grass trees for ample shade. The off-leash area is partially fenced off, plus there are a community garden and a restored barn for leashed walks.
- Ponderosa Park – This area is fully fenced, with a separate area for small dogs. There are also picnic shelters nearby for added comfort.
- Riverbend Dog Park – The fenced area is one acre, with grassy areas and a rocky beach with access to the river.
Go Hiking (or Biking)
Just because you have a room at one of the pet friendly hotels in Bend, Oregon, it doesn’t mean you want to spend all day there. This is especially true when you consider just how many trails for hiking and biking there are in the area.
For instance, the Oregon Desert Trail is 750 miles long, though you don’t have to try it all in one day. There are also the Upper Deschutes River Trail, Farewell Bend River trail loop, Sisters Mirror Lake Loop, and Metolius River Trail. There are trails to Tumalo Falls and another Tumalo Mountain hike.
Todd Lake, Sparks Lake, and Green Lake all have their own trails as well, each with different lengths and scenic views to enjoy.

Take Fido to the Lake
