Getting to Bend
Coming from somewhere nearby in the Pacific Northwest, it is easy to get to Bend by car. The closest cities are Sisters (22 miles), Tumalo (7.8 miles), and Sunriver (16.5 miles). However, Portland is only a 3-hour drive away and Prineville is less than an hour.
Flying here can be a bit tricky. Most visitors come in through Redmond Municipal Airport which is only served by four airlines: Alaska Air, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, and United. From here, you will either need a rental car, taxi, or Uber to take you to Bend. There is an Amtrak available as well, but it is probably just easier to take the 23-minute by car.
Getting Around Bend
If you are flying into Bend, you may want to consider getting a rental car depending on where you are staying. Most activities require a short drive to get to, including getting to Mt. Bachelor from the various resorts nearby.
